(1) POM is a crystalline plastic, density of 1.42g/cm3, its steel is very good, commonly known as "race steel".
(2) POM has fatigue resistance, creep resistance, wear resistance, heat resistance, impact resistance and other excellent performance, and the coefficient of friction is small, self-lubricating good.
(3) POM is not easy to absorb moisture, water absorption rate of 0.22 ~ 0.25%, good dimensional stability in a humid environment, its shrinkage rate of 2.1% (larger), injection molding size is difficult to control, the heat deflection temperature of 172 ℃, paraformaldehyde has two kinds of homopolymer formaldehyde, different performance (homopolymer formaldehyde temperature resistance is better).

1.Why POM (Delrin/Acetal) is deformed in the CNC machining process?
1) Clamping deformation:Unlike steel, clamping the delirn will make deformation, after rough cnc machining, the product will return to its original shape. (2)Thermal deformation, a lot of heat is generated during processing, POM material is sensitive to heat, if there is high heat in the CNC machining, this will result in deformation. (3)Elastic deformation, POM material has good toughness. When cutting, the product will be elastically deformed.
2.How to avoid the deformation for POM (Delrin/Acetal) in CNC machining?
We could use glue to paste the material to avoid the deformation. We could use high-speed tools to cut,because this kind of knife is very sharp, this could reduce the heat in the cutting. Do not cut too much.
